General
What is OrderDay?
OrderDay is an AI-powered inventory management and purchase order automation system built specifically for Shopify stores. It helps Shopify merchants streamline inventory management, track supplier costs, and generate smart purchase orders based on sales velocity and stock levels.
Do I need a Shopify store to use OrderDay?
Yes, OrderDay is built exclusively for Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. It integrates directly with your Shopify admin using OAuth.
Is there a free trial?
Yes! All new accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required during the trial period.
What happens after my trial ends?
After your 30-day trial, you'll be prompted to select a plan:
- Free: $0/month (25 products, 5 suppliers) - All features included
- Complete: $49/month (unlimited products and suppliers)
If you don't select a plan, your account will revert to the Free tier with limited quantities but all features available.
Billing
How is usage calculated?
OrderDay uses usage-based billing with two meters:
- Products: Number of active products in your catalog
- Suppliers: Number of active suppliers
Your plan tier is determined by your product count.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change plans anytime from Settings → Billing. Changes take effect immediately with pro-rated billing.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and ACH bank transfers (Large plan only).
Is there a setup fee?
No, there are no setup fees or hidden charges. You only pay your monthly plan fee.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
OrderDay stores data in secure PostgreSQL databases hosted on Neon (US region) with automatic backups and encryption at rest.
Do you store customer personal information?
No, OrderDay only stores:
- Product data (titles, SKUs, prices)
- Order totals and line items
- Supplier information
We never store customer names, addresses, or payment information.
Can I export my data?
Yes, you can export all your data (products, suppliers, orders) from Settings → Data Export in CSV or JSON format.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Your data is retained for 30 days after uninstallation in case you want to reinstall. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.
Features
Does OrderDay support multi-location inventory?
Yes, OrderDay aggregates inventory across all Shopify locations. Per-location ordering is on our roadmap.
Can I track expiry dates?
Yes, expiry date tracking is available. See Expiry Tracking for details.
Does it work with Shopify POS?
Yes, OrderDay syncs with all Shopify sales channels including POS, online store, and third-party marketplaces.
Can I customize purchase order templates?
Yes, you can customize PDF templates with your logo, colors, and custom fields from Settings → Purchase Orders.
Does OrderDay integrate with QuickBooks or Xero?
Not yet, but accounting integrations are on our roadmap. Vote for this feature on our roadmap.

What browsers are supported?
OrderDay works best on:
- Chrome 90+
- Firefox 88+
- Safari 14+
- Edge 90+
We recommend using the latest browser version for the best experience.
Can I use OrderDay on mobile?
Yes, OrderDay is mobile-responsive and works on iOS and Android devices. A native mobile app is planned for 2026.
Does OrderDay have an API?
A public API is on our roadmap. Currently, OrderDay integrates exclusively through the Shopify app. Vote for API access on our roadmap.
What are the Shopify permissions OrderDay needs?
OrderDay requests:
- Products: Read product data and inventory
- Orders: Read order history for sales velocity
- Inventory: Track stock levels
We never request access to customer data or payment information.
Troubleshooting
Products aren't syncing from Shopify
- Check webhook status in Settings → Integrations
- Click Re-register webhooks
- Trigger manual sync: Products → Sync from Shopify
If the issue persists, contact support.
Order quantities seem incorrect
AI recommendations improve over time. Initially:
- Verify current stock levels are accurate
- Check sales velocity calculations
- Adjust safety stock percentage in Settings
- Override recommendations as needed
I can't send emails to suppliers
Check that:
- Supplier email address is valid
- Your email domain is verified (Settings → Email)
- Emails aren't landing in supplier spam folders
