v1.6.1 - January 2026

Features

  • Resize Your Columns: Drag column borders to make them wider or narrower — whatever works best for you! Double-click a border to snap back to the default size. Your preferences are saved automatically.

  • Helpful Column Info: Curious what a column means? Click the little (?) icon in any header to learn what that column shows, where the info comes from, and any formulas used.

  • Scrollbar That Follows You: Wide tables now show a scroll bar at the bottom of your screen, so you can scroll left and right no matter where you are on the page.

  • Smart Pattern Detection: In Regular Customers, you can now click "Detect for me" when adding a customer — we'll look at their order history and suggest how often they buy! No more guessing.

Improvements

  • Column Reordering is Optional: Dragging columns to reorder them is now turned off by default (so you don't accidentally move things when resizing). Turn it on in Settings whenever you want it.

  • Smoother Resizing: Resizing columns now feels much better — no more accidentally dragging a column when you meant to resize it.

  • Friendly Cooldown Timers: After syncing data, you'll see a countdown showing when you can sync again. No more wondering if the button is working!

Features

  • Product Photos: See your product images right in the Order Day table — no more guessing which variant is which!

  • Price & Margin at a Glance: Now you can see your retail price and profit margin right alongside your costs. Super helpful when deciding what to order.

  • Jump to Shopify: Click the little link icon next to any product to open it directly in your Shopify admin.

  • Sort by Distributor: Organize your Order Day view by distributor — perfect for when you're preparing orders for each supplier.

  • Better Welcome Experience: We added a "How Syncing Works" step to help explain that OrderDay is your ordering workspace — your product info syncs from Shopify, but your cost edits stay safe in OrderDay.

  • Click the Logo to Go Home: The OrderDay logo now takes you back to the main page from anywhere. Simple but handy!

  • Reserves Badge is Clickable: That "X with reserves" badge? Now you can click it to jump straight to your Regular Customers.

  • Smoother Scrolling: Fixed some annoying scroll issues on wide tables.

Bug Fixes

  • Order Builder: Fixed an issue where adding the same product twice could lose your first entry. Sorry about that!
  • Multi-Vendor Orders: All your download links now show up properly when ordering from multiple distributors.
  • Order History: Orders with lots of items now display completely (no more cut-off lists).

Expiry Tracking — Keep tabs on expiry dates and reduce waste by selling oldest stock first!

Features

  • Expiry Tracking: Keep track of expiry dates on your perishable inventory. Perfect for pet food shops or anyone selling products that expire!

  • Easy Receiving: A simple, mobile-friendly page for recording expiry dates when stock arrives. If you receive more of the same batch, we'll add them together for you.

  • Color-Coded Expiry Column: See at a glance which products are expiring soon:

    • 🟢 Green: Safe (>180 days)
    • 🟡 Yellow: Warning (90-180 days)
    • 🟠 Orange: Critical (30-90 days)
    • 🔴 Red: Expired or <30 days
  • Sell Oldest First: We'll suggest which batches to sell first based on expiry dates — helping you rotate stock and reduce waste.

  • Discount Reminders by Brand: Set up rules like "discount Blue Buffalo 25% when it's 90 days from expiry" — we'll remind you when it's time.

  • Easy Batch Adjustments: Need to fix a batch quantity? No problem — adjust it with a full history trail and 24-hour undo window.

  • Cost History: Wondering how your costs have changed? Click the clock icon next to any cost to see the full history of price changes.

  • See Who Reserved What: Click on any "Reserved" badge to see which customers have reservations, how much they reserved, and when they're expected to buy.

Improvements

  • Your Preferred Distributor Sticks: When you pick a preferred distributor, it now stays selected even after you refresh the page.

  • Clearer Distributor Selection: We added a proper "Set Preferred Distributor" button instead of auto-saving when you click — much less confusing!

  • Expiry Shows Distributor: Hover over an expiry badge to see which distributor's batch is expiring first.

  • Better Cost Change View: The Cost Changes flyout now shows all changes — both increases and decreases — so you have the full picture.

  • Smoother Cost Editing: Typing decimal costs is now buttery smooth (no more laggy input!).

  • Welcome Tour for Newcomers: New users now get a friendly 4-step tour explaining how OrderDay works before diving in.

New Feature

Everything works together better — your regular customers, distributors, and ordering all in one place!

Features

  • See Reserves in Order Day: Your regular customer reservations now show right in the Order Day table. You'll see "Reserved: 2" badges next to inventory, and a heads-up if reservations exceed your stock.

  • Quick Distributor Links: Need to hop over to your distributor's website to place an order? Click the link icon next to their name to open their portal in a new tab.

  • Edit Case Sizes Inline: Click any case size in the table to change it right there — no need to open settings. Pick from common sizes (4, 6, 12, 24, 36) or single units.

  • Compare Distributors Easily: Products with multiple distributors now show your alternatives right below — like "Also: US Foods (case of 12)" — so you can compare at a glance.

  • Regular Customer Tracking: We automatically spot customers who buy the same things regularly (3+ times with consistent timing). See all your regulars in one place with:

    • How confident we are in the pattern
    • When we think they'll order next
    • Confirm the good ones, dismiss the rest
    • Reserve stock for your best customers
