Improvements

  • Improved Navigation: OrderDay logo is now clickable and returns you to the main Order Day page from anywhere in the app.

  • Regular Customer Quick Access: The "X with reserves" badge in the product table now links directly to the Regular Customers page, making it easier to manage customer reservations.

  • Enhanced Onboarding: New "How Syncing Works" step in the welcome experience explains that OrderDay is your ordering workspace - product data syncs from Shopify, while cost edits stay in OrderDay as your working space.

  • Regular Customers Table: Fixed horizontal scroll being cut off on the Regular Customers page - wide tables now scroll smoothly.

Expiry Management - Track batch expiry dates and reduce waste with FEFO picking

Features

  • Expiry Tracking: Track expiry dates on perishable inventory with batch-level granularity. Perfect for pet food retailers and any business with perishable products.

  • Receiving Workflow: Mobile-friendly receiving page for recording batch expiry dates. Smart upsert combines quantities when receiving more of the same batch.

  • Order Day Expiry Column: New color-coded expiry column shows at-a-glance status for all products:

    • 🟢 Green: Safe (>180 days)
    • 🟡 Yellow: Warning (90-180 days)
    • 🟠 Orange: Critical (30-90 days)
    • 🔴 Red: Expired or <30 days
  • FEFO Picking: First Expired, First Out recommendations help you rotate stock efficiently and reduce waste.

  • Brand Discount Policies: Set brand-specific discount thresholds for near-expiry products (e.g., Blue Buffalo at 90 days = 25% off).

  • Batch Reconciliation: Adjust batch quantities with audit trail and 24-hour undo window.

  • Cost History Tracking: Full audit trail of cost changes for every product. Click the clock icon next to any cost field to see the complete history of price changes — increases, decreases, and initial entries — with timestamps and percentage changes.

  • Reserves Popover: Click on any "Reserved" badge to see detailed customer information — who reserved what quantity, expected purchase dates, and days until expected order.

Improvements

  • Preferred Distributor Persistence: Selected preferred distributors now correctly persist on page refresh. The Order Day table shows your preferred distributor's cost and name by default.

  • Improved Distributor Selection UX: The distributor comparison modal now uses an explicit "Set Preferred Distributor" button instead of auto-saving on click, with visual feedback during save.

  • Expiry Distributor Tracking: Expiry badge tooltip now shows which distributor's batch has the earliest expiry date.

  • Cost Changes Flyout: Renamed from "Price Updates" for consistency. Now shows ALL cost changes (increases AND decreases) for complete visibility into cost fluctuations.

  • Improved Cost Input: Cost field now accepts decimal input smoothly without blocking keystrokes. Reserved badges are hidden when inventory is zero to reduce visual clutter.

  • Welcome Experience for New Users: New 4-step welcome carousel introduces OrderDay to first-time users, explaining the core workflow and key features before diving into the interface.

  • Product Tours: Interactive guided tours now available from the Help menu. Tours walk you through Order Day features, Distributor Management, and the new Receiving workflow.

Integration improvements - connecting existing features into the Order Day workflow

Features

  • Regular Customer Reserves in Order Day: Your regular customer reserve data now displays directly in the Order Day product table. See "Reserved: 2" badges next to inventory quantities, with tooltips showing customer breakdown. Warning indicators appear when reserved quantity exceeds available inventory.

  • Quick Distributor Portal Access: External links to distributor order portals are now accessible from the Order Day session header. Click the link icon next to any distributor name to open their portal in a new tab.

  • Inline Case Size Editing: Click on any product's case size to edit it directly in the Order Day table - no more opening the settings modal. Quickly switch between single units and case sizes (4, 6, 12, 24, 36) with auto-save.

  • Enhanced Multi-Distributor Display: Products with multiple distributors now show the best alternative option below the primary supplier. See "Also: [Distributor] (case of 12)" at a glance to compare your options.

  • Terminology Customization: Rename "Supplier" to "Distributor", "Vendor", or any terminology that fits your business workflow. Access via Settings → Terminology.

  • Regular Customer Tracking: OrderDay now automatically detects customers who buy the same products on a regular schedule (3+ purchases, consistent timing). View all patterns at /regular-customers with:

    • Confidence scoring based on purchase consistency
    • Next purchase date predictions
    • Ability to confirm or dismiss patterns
    • Reserve inventory for your most reliable customers
  • Order Day Session Header: New header showing:

    • Total spending across all distributors
    • Real-time countdown to each distributor's order cutoff
    • Current session context
