The Goal
Reduce your ordering sessions from 8 hours to 2 hours while eliminating the $700-2,500/month you're losing to expiry waste, missed credits, and stockouts.

v1.6 is Production-Ready
The v1.6 feature set (Order Day workflow, multi-distributor management, purchase orders, cost tracking, expiry management, margin visibility) is production-ready. Phase 2.0 features will ship incrementally based on customer feedback priority.

Budget-Based Ordering
Order what matters most when budget is tight:
- Set weekly budget based on sales performance
- Smart priority scoring:
- Regular customer products (highest)
- Out-of-stock items
- Low stock (below target)
- Margin optimization
- "Auto-fill to Budget" with one click
- "What you're skipping" analysis
- Per-distributor spending breakdown

Shopify Metafields Integration
Already tracking data in Shopify metafields? We'll use it:
- Automatic discovery of existing metafields/metaobjects
- Visual mapping to OrderDay fields
- Bidirectional sync with conflict resolution
- Migration support for existing apps (like Sidekick)

Credit Recovery (Phase 2.5)
Target: Q2-Q3 2026 | Duration: 2-3 weeks
Stop leaving money on the table. When you discount expiring products:
- Automatically detect when discounted items sell
- Generate credit claim packages (proof of discount + expiry dates + receipt)
- Track claim status: Pending → Submitted → Approved → Received
- Apply credits to future orders

Staff & Hardware Integration (Phase 3.0)

POS UI Extension Let staff mark regular customers from Shopify POS — no complex setup required.
Dymo Label Printing Print expiry date labels during receiving:
- Support for Dymo 450 (most common)
- Template: "[Product Name] – Exp [Date]"
- Print automatically after batch creation

OCR Date Scanning (Evaluating) Auto-read expiry dates from product labels using phone camera.
Deprioritized
FEFO Picking Guidance
Originally planned for Phase 1.5, but customer feedback indicated it's not needed for small stores:
"This seems more advanced than what we currently need. We tend to not have a ton of back stock in store."
Resolution: Available as optional setting. Default OFF for stores with <500 SKUs.

Development Approach
